| Well, so far this summer, I'm working at the computer lab, and I have time to read, debate, think, and study, both books and the Book--the Bible.
I am debating a man who disbelieves the deity of Christ--that He is God. I proposed the following syllogism to him:
(1.) God alone is the Savior (Isaiah 43:11; 45:21; Hosea 13:4).
(2.) Jesus is deemed the Savior (Titus 3:6, et al).
(3.) Therefore, Jesus is God.
(1) is obvious and non-controversial. (2) is likewise patent. (3) explicitly follows from (1) and (2). Denying (3) would be to deny (2) and thus nullify those passages that speak of Jesus as being "Savior."
He wasn't able to refute the conclusion. I'm curious: Can anybody that is reading this refute it or at least neutralize it so that (3) doesn't necessarily follow from (1) and (2)? |

| I guess I'm back....Maybe!! I cannot epistemically say if I shall continue or not. First thing's first: studies! I love studying; studying is my buddy; I wanna kiss studying; I wanna play hop-hop scotch with it! I'm reading like there's no tomorrow...sometimes....
I'm doing a lot of research on the Resurrection of Jesus: I'm reading some books for it; some debates that include people for it and against it; and I'm reading Internet articles that talk about it. It seems that I have more of an historian's mind than a philosopher's, although sometimes both intertwine.
